The artist Giovanni Segantini was a leading member of the European avant-garde of his day. He was hailed as an 'innovator', a 'prophet' and a 'revolutionary': in an obituary one critic called him a "Secession in his own right." His work was to be seen in public and private collections alike, and had a major effect on art in Europe at the time. Even the Futurists cited him as a role-model. At present there are no monographs of Segantini in print. This publication will fill this gap and offers the public a new opportunity to see important paintings and drawings by this artist, including his famous triptych Werden - Sein - Vergehen (La Vita - La Natura - La Morte). With an in-depth essay on the artist's oeuvre - from his early genre paintings, influenced by Realism, right up to his symbolic depictions of Nature in a Divisionist style - this publication is an up-to-date, comprehensive monograph on Giovanni Segantini. (German edition available ISBN 3-7757-0561-9, Italian edition available ISBN 3- 7757-0585-6) The artist: Giovanni Segantini (Arco/Trient 1858-1899 Schafberg near St. Moritz in the Engadine). Has contact with the artists of the 'Scapigliatura' in Lombardy and with the group 'Les XX', to which James Ensor also belongs. 1889: Segantini represents Italy at the World Exhibition in Paris. 1894: moves to Maloja in the Engadine.

Nicer than I expected
Color: 12 Tennis Ball
Much more sturdy than other "squeaky" balls of this type. I love that they have an internal or covered squeaker, so I don't have to worry about my dog chewing it and swallowing a plastic squeaker. But ... what I find as a plus, my dog sees as a minus, since one of his favorite thing is to chew a ball until it stops squeaking. They come in a plastic net bag, which is very handy for storage also.

Squeaks break immediately
Color: 12 Tennis Ball
Squeaks break almost immediately, even with very light chewing. Some are so badly made that the squeaks break after one or two squeezes. Get Kong balls instead.

Nice balls but arrived with a bad chemical smell
Color: 12 Tennis Ball
Wonderful Product!!! The balls themselves are amazing and the squeaker in them my dog loves. I am giving them only a three star because they arrived and they SMELL like chemicals so bad!!! I was afraid to give it to my dog so i washed one out and put it up hoping the chemical smell will go away. This not good for a dog as unknown chemicals can make them really sick. Whatever amazon is spraying on their stuff it's not good

Puppy tested & approved
Color: 12 Tennis Ball
I ordered these squeaky tennis balls for my cocker spaniel. She absolutely loves these tennis balls with the squeakers in them! She plays with them all day, and chews on them frequently. We have not had any problems with her, breaking the tennis balls, which is generally the issue we have with her. The tennis ball fuzz stays on the ball very well, which is usually an issue with standard tennis balls, because my dog likes to peel off the yellow fuzz on all tennis balls. She has not been able to do that with these. I will definitely be buying these again , but will not need to anytime soon as these are extremely well built.
