Keep your bird seed safe with the Vari-Crafts Caged Avian Mixed Seed Bird Feeder. This unit features a squirrel resistant design that also provides a safe haven for small songbirds. The 1.5" green vinyl-coated square fencing creates perching for several smaller birds while resisting squirrels and preventing larger birds from feeding. The 12.25" diameter green metal top not only protects the seed in the tube from the elements, but also acts as a huge 9.5 quart (2.375 gallon) seed reservoir. This reservoir empties into the 0.25" thick, high-density PVC resin seed tube as needed, reducing the number of trips you make outside to fill the feeder.
The six feeding stations each have a perch for individual birds to feed. The clear lexan plastic feeding stations keep seed levels visible. The reservoir is vented to eliminate condensation and keep seed fresh and dry, and the cap is easily removable for refilling the vessel as necessary. The ingenious clip lock system with metal clips keeps the cap in place, so squirrels are not able to lift it and eat their fill. The green metal base prevents seed waste and allows a few more birds to dine. Hang this feeder from a sturdy branch or hook with the included 5" stainless steel hanger.
