What so inspires me about the New England fall is the crisp cool mornings, the short days and dramatic light and the kaleidoscope of bright colored leaves painting the hills, red, yellow, orange and crimson. Seeing it each year is like seeing it for the first time and it inspires me to paint it over and over again. Many times, as I have sat amongst the spectacular maples and other hardwoods, a whitetail deer suddenly appears out of nowhere.
