Zbigniew Preisner is a self-educated Polish film score composer who first won renown for his collaborations with influential Polish director and screenwriter Krzysztof Kieslowski. As part of its reissue series focusing on Preisner's work with Kieslowski, Because Music presents a reissue of Preisner's score for Kieslowski's Three Colors: Red (1994), the third film in Kieslowski's Three Colors Trilogy following Blue and White. The trilogy is themed on the French Revolutionary ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity; Red is about fraternity, which it examines by showing characters whose lives gradually become closely interconnected. Red stars Jean-Louis Trintignant and Irene Jacob, and received universal acclaim upon its release; Preisner's score, performed by the Sinfonia Varsovia and the Silesian Philharmonic choir, won the 1995 Cesar Award for Best Music. The score opens with a performance by Zbigniew Zamachowski. Zbigniew Preisner has also worked with Jean Becker (on Elisa, winner of the 1996 Cesar Award for Best Music), Thomas Vinterberg (It's All About Love), and Claude Miller (Un secret).

Pug At The Beach loves Jack Canfield
Format: Paperback
Far too many people wander through life unfulfilled because they lack the skill set needed to experience life to its most bountiful. That's in part due to a fear of asking for that which brings us what we need, want or desire.
People are afraid. Afraid of rejection, afraid of looking foolish, and a whole host of other things. Be afraid no longer. The Aladdin Factor will teach you how to ask without fear.
Canfield's book taught me how to ask in a powerful, confident way that would guarantee my success. Simple phrasing combined with subtle reflection made for a life transforming read.
At Pug Headquarters, it's a must read.

Ask and Ye Shall Receive...
Format: Paperback
The writing and the approach in the book are not earth shattering. In fact, I wish there was a little more meat or pizzaz in the content. So, why the recommendation? Simple - the content at its core is incredibly powerful - and we all need the reminder. Our gentieel approach to communications and emotional interaction has left us forgetting to ASK for things. We expect the world to be mind readers, and get upset, frustrated or depressed when we don't get what we want. Of course, since we never actually ASKED for what we wanted, we rely on guesswork and luck to achieve our dreams and goals.
The genie in the lamp could grant wishes, but those wishes needed to be spoken by Aladdin. Similarly, we are all in a position to achieve our goals and dreams, but they must be spoken. Even within ourselves, we cannot harness our own power of desire and subconscious until we solidify the desire by asking for it.
An absolute must read - even if the writing style is a bit flat - the content is NOT.

Great book, however...

There are many great things about this book and very useful advice and information, however it is very repetitive and some of the excerpts are a bit long and boring. I still recommend it, just be warned.
