Canesoral/Canesten One Dose Treatment Oral capsules is an oral antifungal medicine used for effectively treating vaginal thrush. With oral capsules, it allows for discreetness and convenience for people who need to take the capsules while on the go. A single capsules also contains Fluconazole.

The Candida species of fungi, particularly Candida Albicans, is responsible for causing infections in the form of vaginal thrush. Vaginal thrush manifests as an inflammation and discharge of the vagina.

Canesten One Dose Treatment Oral capsules features Clotrimazole, which works by blocking the cell membranes of the Candida species. It stops the formation of Ergosterol, a very essential part of the fungi's cell membranes. Without it, perforations form in the cell membranes, allowing substances to freely enter and exit the cell. Because of this, even the important components of the cell leak out. In effect, the fungi die and the infection is effectively treated.
