Designed for public sector environments that demand scalable data protection, predictable budgeting, and uncompromised availability, the Veeam Foundation Capacity Pack is a purpose-built solution for installations under 250 TB. This four-year subscription, billed upfront, unlocks 1 TB increments that you can flexibly deploy as your data footprint grows. With public sector pricing, this pack combines enterprise-grade backup and recovery with a predictable lifecycle, giving agencies, departments, and public institutions a reliable path to resilient operations. Staff can rely on continuous protection, fast recovery times, and a streamlined license model that minimizes administrative overhead while maximizing uptime.

Built to integrate seamlessly with existing Veeam environments, the Foundation Capacity Pack emphasizes simplicity, compliance, and performance. It brings together core capabilities such as backup, replication, and disaster recovery, backed by guaranteed 24/7 production support. This ensures mission-critical workloads stay protected and recoverable around the clock, even in the face of rapid data growth or unplanned outages. The 4-year term aligns with public sector procurement cycles, providing stability and long-range budgeting that public administrators value. In short, it’s a smart, scalable, and secure foundation for safeguarding essential data across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-enabled infrastructures.

  • Scalable capacity in 1 TB increments for installations under 250 TB: Start with a precise, purchasable unit of 1 TB and add capacity as your data footprint expands. This modular approach minimizes waste and helps public sector teams plan upgrades in alignment with project milestones, regulatory timelines, and budget cycles. With clear unit pricing and predictable growth, you can protect more data without overcommitting upfront.
  • Subscription with upfront billing and 4-year license term: This pack provides a stable, long-term licensing model that aligns with government procurement practices. The upfront billing simplifies accounting and auditing, while the four-year term reduces the need for frequent renewal cycles. Teams benefit from guaranteed access to updates, ongoing support, and the confidence of a locked-in price structure over the license period.
  • 24/7 production support for continuous operation: In production environments where downtime translates to service disruption and costs, round-the-clock support is essential. The included 24/7 production support delivers expert assistance, fast response times, and proactive guidance to keep mission-critical workloads protected and recoverable at any hour.
  • Comprehensive data protection capabilities: The Foundation Capacity Pack includes proven backup and recovery features—efficient backup scheduling, reliable replication, fast restore options, and cloud-ready continuity. Enhanced security elements such as encryption in transit and at rest, along with integrity checks, help ensure data remains protected against threats and tampering.
  • Public sector pricing and procurement alignment: Tailored pricing and licensing terms are designed to meet public sector purchasing needs. The arrangement emphasizes budget predictability, audit-ready licensing records, and a clear path from procurement through deployment, enabling agencies to deliver essential services without licensing friction.

How to install Veeam Foundation Capacity Pack

  • Confirm eligibility and purchase: Verify that your installation footprint falls within the below-250 TB range and complete the upfront subscription purchase using Public Sector pricing. Ensure you have an active account and access to the management console where licenses are managed.

  • Obtain and apply the license key: Retrieve the 1 TB increment license key from your procurement portal and enter it in the Veeam management console. The system will register the unit and update your license inventory to reflect the new capacity.

  • Assess current environment: Review existing backup servers, repositories, and retention policies. Confirm compatibility with the Foundation Pack features and identify any integration points with cloud storage or DR sites.

  • Configure protection policies: Create or adjust backup jobs, replication tasks, and verification processes. Align schedules with business windows and regulatory requirements to ensure consistent protection without impacting performance.

  • Enable security controls: Turn on encryption, enable integrity checks, and enforce access controls. Establish role-based permissions and audit trails to meet governance and compliance standards.

  • Test restores and DR scenarios: Run planned tests to validate recoverability for critical workloads. Document recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) to demonstrate preparedness.

  • Monitor and optimize: Use the management console dashboards to monitor capacity usage, backup performance, and restore success rates. Scale by adding additional 1 TB units as needed to maintain protection benchmarks.

Don't Buy This Monitor
Size: 32-1
I know the price vs viewable real estate is tempting but don't buy this monitor. Mine is defective: You can't see the bottom half inch of the display. That doesn't sound like a big deal except that's where the taskbar is, so I can't see that. There is no support at all. The company that makes this thing doesn't even have a website so I can't try to use their driver instead of Microsoft's generic one. All they have is an outlook email address (that's not very professional - spring for your own domain, they're not expensive) that they don't monitor. I've written twice over two days and have yet to receive a reply. So I guess this monitor is going back which is a shame because the part of the display I can see is really nice. Also, several of the functions don't work. The description and even the setup menu say it has HDR - it doesn't. It says it has speakers - they don't function. The setup menu says it has DDC/CI which is the ability to adjust settings from on the monitor from the PC - it doesn't. All these things together sound like a driver issue, right? Same thing I thought. But since there's no website, no phone number, and no one answering emails, there are no drivers available.

Its not flawless, but probably better than it should be
Size: 32-1
There is not a lot of useful info about these out there, so I will do my best to provide it. 1. To anyone not picky, the monitor is pretty good. Ive got it sitting next to a Dell U3223QE. Its slightly less bright, but not dramatically soo, noticeable, but not a lot. 2. This is fairly glossy, and the gloss coating scratches like nothing else, I scratched this one fairly badly, so ill probably have to order another. The gloss coating appears to enhance the black levels. At least the specific unit I received appears to have slightly better contrast than the U3223QE, which is kinda impressive, it is reflective though. 3. The one real complaint I have is the viewing angles are not the best, though its not like it falls apart the moment you view it off axis, it just is not as good as a high quality panel like the 3223QE. Again, overall, its pretty good, certainly not as good as the 3223QE, but good enough that it makes me question if anyone should buy something high end at this point in non OLED

Works great out of the box
Size: 49-1
This is labeled a gaming monitor but i use it for work. The picture, color, brightness, sharpness, contrast etc are all really good for my purposes (though admittedly i am using for gaming where users are very discriminating) - for my purposes, to have several windows open at the same time or to have many columns of large spreadsheets visible this is an excellent choice. I wish it had mic, speakers and camera to use for zoom meetings but given the low price i really can't complain. There is nothing comparable in this price range. Big plus is how easy it is to set up. I had it plugged into my macbook within minutes. Wish it could work with USB-C and didn't need hdmi, but that's a minor issue for me.
