Orna Tamir Schestowitz is an artist, designer and curator whose work sparks conversations on the intricate interplay between space and light.

Schestowitz is a strong believer that a home should create a sense of belonging and togetherness. Growing up, she developed an appreciation for harmonizing diverse styles, placing a modern stainless steel island by an old dining area, an African dresser next to an Eames chair. Schestowitz is not a follower of design guidelines; she believes in an intuitive harmony of space, color, and light. The spaces she creates are infused with travel collectibles, art acquisitions, family pieces, and historical patterns. The rich palettes and bold patterns create spaces that feel naturally inviting and intimate, a result of her long-standing exploration of Mediterranean style.

The visual interaction of material, color, and composition combined with her ability to create spaces that are both beautifully curated and comfortably livable are as strong as her passion for the Mediterranean Sea, archeology, and ceramics. These are also driving forces of her restless research and experimentation within the realm of glaze and warm materials like iron and stone. 

This monograph celebrates havens across the Mediterranean along with international fashion photographer Dudi Hasson who captured the essence of Tel Aviv, Cap Ferrat, and Paros residences, in warm and passionate Film Prints, revealing the profound elements that intertwine these spaces. The visual journey is enriched by a selection of texts from the esteemed US author and design writer Beth Dunlop, stemming from a series of conversations with Schestowitz.
