Audit Blower Motor Draw and Measure Refrigerant Loop Temperatures Instantly with Solid State True RMS Balancing Logic

The Klein Tools CL220 is an automatically ranging True RMS digital clamp multimeter engineered for the direct measurement of electrical current up to 400A AC and line potential up to 600V AC/DC. This field test instrument delivers precision diagnostic data across wave-distorted mechanical loads to prevent structural equipment failure inside residential and light industrial environments. Operating within a certified CAT III 600V safety envelope, the meter integrates an interior jaw-mounted non-contact voltage sensor alongside a K-Type thermocouple port to execute complete systemic efficiency evaluations inside dark climate infrastructure enclosures.

Best Used For:

  • Blower Motor Diagnostics: Measuring running alternating current amp draw profiles up to 400A directly on climate handler wiring legs to identify inductive load anomalies.
  • Thermal Line Balancing: Recording real-time heating and cooling circuit temperatures with the included K-Type thermocouple probe to optimize fluid heat transfers.
  • Pathway Isolation Checks: Evaluating solid-state control boards and component pathways up to 20MΩ to pinpoint open circuits or failing safety relays.

Key Performance & Safety Features

  • True RMS Measurement: Automatic ranging TRMS processing engine strips away electrical background noise to preserve metric data integrity.
  • Jaw-Embedded Safety Tester: Non-contact voltage module positioned inside the 1.6-inch clamp assembly runs instant wire checks before lead connection.
  • Broad Temperature Framework: Thermocouple processing circuitry registers structural system thermal outputs stretching from -40°F to 1832°F.
  • Backlit Data Screen: High-visibility digital LCD interface populates illuminated character blocks to clear workspace viewing obstructions.
  • Rugged Double Insulation: Hardened impact-resistant framework shell passes jobsite concrete drop tests from structural positions up to 6.6 feet.

What's Included

  • CL220 Digital TRMS Clamp Meter
  • Set of Test Leads with CAT III/CAT IV Safety Caps
  • K-Type Thermocouple Probe
  • Three AAA Batteries
  • Soft Carrying Case
  • Instruction Manual

Wise Advice for the College-Bound Student
Format: Kindle
I read this book after reading Newport's other study guide How to Become a Straight A Student and was looking forward to more of his easy to understand, quickly read nuggets of wisdom. Although I found the advice in his previous book to be more helpful, I did fine some words of advice that I will surely put to use in my upcoming semester. Among the gems I found, Newport reminds students to "Study in Fifty-Minute Chunks" and "Learn to Listen." In these short chapters there are ideas to help the student better utilize their time by minimizing distractions and knowing exactly what to listen for in a lecture. By far my favorite and most memorable line from this book is "A good analogy is that writing is to a college student what shooting hoops is to a basketball player." Wise advice indeed. I would recommend this book to high school an college students alike. The chapters are short and jam packed with good advice.

Good for some
Format: Paperback
Good advice but it's written for college students that don't work. Not for someone who goes to night school like I do.

An excellent story well worth a read
Format: Kindle
This was so well written, I loved every second of it. It was a lovely take on vampires and what they are or can be. Spoilers: This wasn’t an easy read for me. How Miyako’s parents acted… that was my parents only worse in a lot of ways and only better in that they never hit me as an adolescent. So reading this brought up memories of the abuse I suffered. Even so, it is a really good story and I highly recommend. I hope to read more of her stories soon and follow Miyako and see how she and her family grow as characters.
