De Bill Board-serie is een portretserie van Marilyn Monroe; een collectie grote doeken, oorspronkelijk gemaakt voor de groepstentoonstelling Retro Fantastic in 2019 in het Dutch Design Hotel Artemis, Amsterdam, Nederland.

Een fragment van Bert Stern's iconische foto van Marilyn Monroe uit de Last Sitting vormt de basis van deze serie. De identieke compositie wordt in alle portretten toegepast, maar elk kunstwerk is origineel en uniek door variaties in kleur en afwerking.

Geïnspireerd door Andy Warhol’s beroemde portretseries, is elk werk gebaseerd op één en dezelfde afbeelding. In tegenstelling tot traditionele zeefdrukken is de Bill Board-serie vervaardigd met speciale transferechnieken.

De beelden worden gespiegeld, vergroot en afgedrukt, vervolgens overgebracht op canvas en afgewerkt met olieverf en pastelkrijt. De ruige lijnen en gescheurde randen doen denken aan een verweerd vintage reclamebord, terwijl de algehele uitstraling juist zacht en sereen is.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid

I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well! The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something! The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!
