Taxuskever bestrijden met aaltjes
De larven van de taxuskever kunnen goed bestreden worden met aaltjes. De bestrijding is het effectiefst als de larven nog klein zijn. Maar omdat een volwassen taxuskever gedurende meerdere maanden eitjes blijft leggen, zijn er altijd larven van verschillende groottes aanwezig. Vandaar dat het slim is om 2 keer per jaar aaltjes in te zetten: De eerste keer in augustus, om de larven te bestrijden die in het voorjaar en in de vroege zomer uit zijn gekomen. De tweede keer eind oktober of in november, om de larven die daarna zijn uitgekomen te bestrijden. Bij een hardnekkige plaag kunnen in het vroege voorjaar ook nog een keer aaltjes worden ingezet, voordat de larven gaan verpoppen.
Welke soort aaltjes zijn het meest geschikt tegen de larven van taxuskever?Heterorhabditis bacteriophora en Steinernema feltiae werken beiden uitstekend tegen larven van de taxuskever. Bij bodemtemperaturen onder de 16 graden bevelen we Steinernema feltiae aan. Bij bodemtemperaturen boven de 16 graden werkt Heterorhabditis bacteriophora (de aaltjes die je nu bekijkt) het best. Maar wacht in het najaar niet te lang met het toepassen van aaltjes, want bij bodemtemperaturen onder de 8 graden wordt ook Steinernema feltiae minder effectief.

Keeps Aussie Entertained for Hours

This puzzle toy has quickly become one of my dog’s favorite sources of entertainment. It keeps him busy, challenged, and happy. The variety of difficulty levels gives him a challenge, and it is so fun to watch him work through the puzzles. Even when he is just playing with individual pieces, he is entertained.
It is also very user-friendly. Setup is simple, and it is not overly complicated for the owner to manage. Cleaning is surprisingly easy, too. The pieces wipe down well, and nothing traps food or slobber, which is a huge win compared to some other toys we have tried.
Functionality-wise, it is fantastic. The levels of difficulty actually work as intended, and I like being able to adjust them based on my dog’s mood. It is durable, too. The weight and sturdiness of the pieces keep them from sliding around too much during play, and they are tough enough to withstand my Aussie’s powerful chewing without damage. I also like how it is numbered so you can quickly move onto the next level without too much thought. With that, I have noticed the higher levels are challenging, and my Aussie has yet to get through them all. Eventually he gets bored and stops trying.
It is a high-quality, fun, and engaging toy that provides mental stimulation, holds up to rough play, and is easy for me to maintain. Definitely one of the best puzzle toys I have tried!

She loves it!

Tried it as soon as we received it. My dog is a doberman german shepherd mix. I used multiple levels to see what my dog can figure out. It kept her pretty occupied for about 15 minutes and then I readjusted the last level so she could figure it out. With that being said, it can definitely keep them busy for longer! This is going to be a great toy, we love it already. Very durable for my girl, she's a pretty heavy chewer. Very easy to clean because it's a rubber material. The overall puzzle design is also great, really gets them to think. Very easy to stuff treats or kibble inside. Lastly, I LOVE that it's blue and yellow! I wish more toys were in blue and yellow because dogs are color blind! I would definitely consider getting more pieces in the future.

Durable and fun

I have a chewer who gets bored in the afternoon. She loves these Lego blocks. They’re sturdy enough for a big chewer and they hold her interest . She really enjoys figuring out how to get her breakfast!

Love the idea!

Love the idea of this product! Arrived 3/25/2026 and started using it the same day. Lab puppies (8 months old) loved it too, until one of the tabs was chewed off 😞
One of the puppies ate something (not this product) last week and was sick & finally threw up the rubber pieces he ate. So they can’t use the toys they love!
