Alla vista ha un bel colore granato brillante. Il naso profuma di frutta del sottobosco, viola appassita, spezie e aromi boisé derivanti dallaffinamento. Allassaggio è di corpo, fresco, rotondo, con unottima trama tannica.Il Barbaresco è da sempre il vino su cui il Castello di Neive ha puntato con decisione sin dallinizio della produzione negli anni settanta. Questa bottiglia rappresenta quindi il primo passo per avvicinarsi ai grandi crus che lazienda produce: fresco e armonico, incarna con classicità e tradizione una delle DOCG più importanti di tutto il Piemonte. Le uve, dopo la fermentazione, maturano per 12 mesi in legno e per ulteriori 6 mesi in bottiglia, per poi essere imbottigliate. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, un classico davvero non perdere!
Accompagna egregiamente primi e secondi piatti saporiti; perfetto anche con i formaggi stagionati, è da provare con un buon filetto di manzo alla griglia.
