Een expeditie onder leiding van Dr. Tarkovsky trekt de taiga in om meer te weten te komen over de meteoriet en de invloed ervan op het land. Op zoek naar avontuur financieren helden uit de oorlog privé hun eigen expedities naar Siberië, in de hoop artefacten te vinden, uitdagingen te overwinnen en uiteindelijk glorie te verwerven.


Expeditions is een competitief, kaartgestuurd, motor-bouwend ontdekkingsspel. Speel kaarten om kracht, bedrog en unieke arbeidersvaardigheden te krijgen; verplaats je mech naar mysterieuze locaties en krijg kaarten die je tussen de tegels vindt; gebruik arbeiders, voorwerpen, meteorieten en zoektochten om je mech te verbeteren; en gebruik kracht en bedrog om corruptie te overwinnen.

*De Ironclad Editie van Expeditions heeft 5 grote metalen mechs (in plaats van plastic miniaturen) en siliconen tegels (in plaats van plastic), evenals een individueel genummerde doos met folie belettering. Alle andere onderdelen en spelelementen zijn precies hetzelfde als in de standaardversie van Expeditions.
