DESCRIPTIONS:
Part I: Optimizing Function & Participation Through Foundational Review of Wheelchair Seating & Positioning - This webinar provides an overview of the decision-making process involved in wheelchair recommendations for varying diagnoses and various levels of spinal cord injury through application-based clinical examples. Due to the highly individualized process of wheelchair prescription, this webinar will examine the various types of wheelchairs and postural supports available as well as discussing the benefits and challenges of each wheelchair.
Part II: Driving Towards Better Outcomes: Advancing Power Mobility for Wheelchair Users - This webinar expands on essential principles of individualized wheelchair seating and positioning, with a focus on power add-on, power assist for manual wheelchair mobility and alternative drive controls for power wheelchair users. Through detailed case examples, this session will highlight the importance of appropriate positioning and informed decision-making in selecting appropriate seating systems.
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Participants will watch the on-demand recording in its entirety and complete an assessment and feedback module in the Academy Learning Portal. You will have three months from the date of purchase to complete and review the course material. You will receive a reminder email two weeks before the expiration date.
