The T5z Classic has earned a large fanbase over its many years of production. Through its pickup arrangement and proprietary electronics, players are able to coax a large variety electric and acoustic guitar tones out of a single instrument. This configuration, along with a familiar and electric-like 24.875" scale, make the T5z one of the most comfortable and versatile guitars available.

Taylor Guitars offers the T5z Classic with a variety of top wood choices. This particular T5z features an absolutely dazzling Koa top with gloss Shaded Edgeburst finish, paired to a sapele back and sides construction. Its slender Tropical Mahogany neck offers a very comfortable fit, further enhanced by a 12" radius West African Crelicam Ebony fingerboard with small diamond inlays.

Where the T5z Classic Koa truly stands out is in its pickup configuration. Although only the bridge humbucker is visible, the T5z also employs a neck humbucker at the fingerboard, as well as an acoustic body sensor on the guitar's top. Via the T5z's 5-way blade pickup selector, as well as active bass and treble controls, players are able to dial in individual or blended acoustic and electric tones.
