The A34 Comet was a development of the successful Cromwell, designed to take on the dangerous German ‘big cats’ in direct combat. Entering frontline service in late 1944, and extensively used in Korea, it proved a capable and versatile machine. With its low silhouette, thick armour, and powerful 77mm High Velocity main gun developed from the 17-pounder, it represented the pinnacle of British WWII tank design.

In games of Bolt Action the Comet is a medium tank with a super-heavy anti-tank gun, and can be included in armoured platoons.

This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, where it gives British forces a great late-war punch. Full rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.
