Discover the exceptional craftsmanship of the Hatsukokoro Hikari SLD Damascus Petty 130mm, a premium Japanese kitchen knife designed for precision and beauty. This versatile petty knife features a stunning Damascus-clad blade with a tasteful etched pattern, showcasing the artistry of Japanese knife making. The core is crafted from Hitachi SLD steel, a high-chromium, semi-stainless tool steel offering excellent edge retention and a keen, aggressive bite that rivals carbon steel, making it a standout choice for any culinary enthusiast. With a 130mm blade, this Japanese kitchen knife is perfect for intricate tasks like peeling, trimming, and slicing fruits and vegetables. Its unique, strongly curved profile, inspired by European chef knives, makes it exceptionally adept at rock-chopping—a rare and valuable feature in a Japanese petty knife. The thin blade geometry, with a spine thickness of just 1.6mm at the heel, ensures low resistance when cutting through dense produce, while the convex grind promotes effective food release. The knife is fitted with a sophisticated octagonal wa handle made from luxurious Black Chacate wood. Known for its deep, rich brown to almost black coloration and fine texture, this handle offers a comfortable, secure grip and adds an element of sophisticated artistry to your kitchen toolkit. As part of the Hatsukokoro Hikari line, this Japanese kitchen knife represents a balanced design that is both budget-friendly and performance-oriented, ideal for first-time users, pro chefs, and students alike. Experience the perfect blend of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern functionality.Shipping Notes

I like it
Color: grey, Color: grey
It’s not expensive but well made. The tack thing doesn’t spin. Idea for daily wear with a nice look to it. I gave it a 4 because the tact thing doesn’t spin and I like a larger watch face. All in all I may buy more as fashion watches for daily use.

Not water resistant
Color: silver black, Color: silver black
Have had it less than a month, shower and swim with watch on. Water is under the face. Very disappointed in the quality, I get it is a relatively cheap watch, but quality should be better than this. Will never buy again.

Water is getting into the watch.
Color: silver white
It’s a nice watch. I own pieces from other brands, and I stopped wearing this one for about a month; when I decided to put it back on, it was still running. I found this odd, since it’s supposed to be an automatic watch—meaning you need to wear it to keep it wound and functioning—and it supposedly doesn't use a battery. Another thing: every time I wash my hands, water gets inside the watch, even though it’s rated for a depth of 30 meters. I have my doubts as to whether it’s truly an automatic or not. Does anyone else here own one?
