Agave macroacanthaAgave macroacantha is found in southern Puebla and northern Oaxaca in rocky soils, dry sedimentary slopes, and occasionally limestone between 3800 and 4500'. It is a highly attractive small agave, with green, blue gray, to powder blue leaves and stiff ultra sharp brown to jet black terminal spines. Agave macroacantha can sucker profusely by underground rhizomes, making 2 5' clumps, with individual heads 10 18" across over time. Plants produce 6 7'

It is a highly attractive small agave, with green, blue-gray, to powder blue leaves and stiff ultra sharp brown to jet black terminal spines. Agave macroacantha can sucker profusely by underground rhizomes, making 2-5' clumps, with individual heads 10- 18" across over time. Plants produce 6-7' thin inflorescences with greenish flowers, and is hardy to 20-25 degrees Fahrenheit. Plants are currently in 5" & will be shipped bareroot.
