Comprised of multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers utilizing a Viton rubber coating. Compressed thickness is 0.036". With AFR Heads with coolant eyebrow. Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gaskets provide maximum sealing performance for todays high output engines and require no sealants. MLS gaskets are ideal for both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks. They can withstand the shearing force created by the two materials. MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flour elastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. The center or shim layer is uncoated stainless steel, which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements.

I used these 2 nights in a row. I was hoping Oracoat found a solution to the problem people like me have with the regular Xylimelts: irritation of gums. As others have noted the “sensitive” version doesn’t melt and the goo that remains can be difficult to remove. I didn’t have too much trouble after the first night. However, the second day after use, it was so hard to get the remains out, I wound up with a very sore spot from digging it out. I will toss the rest. It’s too bad this effort fizzled. I hope Oracoat will find a solution For sensitive mouths. In the b meantime, I will use the original for a few nights and then stop before repeating. The idea behind the original product is fantastic. Unfortunately this attempt to make it usable for people with sensitive mouths hasn’t worked. Please try again.

My mouth isn't completely parched as it was without any product, so it is definitely better than nothing. There is a gel-like residue in the morning that needs to be scraped off the teeth. I think Oracoat has some more R & D to do.
